Early childhood facilities for 120 children

At L’Étang Saint-Paul, Raharianne and Simangavole bring two early childhood facilities together in a single complex, designed as a world on the scale of its youngest users.

More than a building, the project imagines a setting in which to grow, discover and awaken. The architecture seeks a balance between protection and openness, between shared spaces and more intimate places, to accompany the different rhythms of the day naturally. The relationships between inside and outside extend the living spaces and give the whole an open, lively character, deeply suited to the climate of Réunion.
